Operators of the Golden Chariot, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) have announced the inaugural date of the first seasonal journey for this luxury train. The coming October 10 will mark the Golden Chariot train first run of this season from Bangalore to Goa. Most of the cabins are already reserved for the first seasonal trip beginning on the 10th of October.

The project director of The Golden Chariot, Mr. Srinivas said that “About 75 to 80 passengers will be travelling on the first trip. Half the travelers comprise of top international travel agents from various parts of the globe, including the UK, France, US, and Australia”. Moreover, all passengers have been given the option of hopping in and out at any of the destinations during this trip.

The Golden Chariot Train with its two distinct itineraries- Pride of the South and Splendor of the South offers tourists enchanting voyages across several destinations in South India which include World Heritage Sites, forts and palaces, ancient temples, and natural treasure troves of the South.

The 14-day trip will allow the passengers to hop in at any of the destinations and hop out after 3 days of journey on board the train.
