The Indian Railway has taken an amazing initiative for its passengers to make this Navaratri special. The launch of the Delhi-Katra luxury train under Vande Bharat Express or Train 18 is a Navaratri gift in true sense from the Indian railway. This train service will be available from the 5th of October 2019 and will run from Delhi to Katra and vice versa 5 days (Tuesday close) in the week. Delhi-Katra Vande Bhatar Express will leave from New Delhi at 6:00 AM in the morning and reach Katra at 2 PM on the same day. In the same way, another train will leave Katra at 3 PM and reach New Delhi at 11 PM on the same day. For upline, tarin number 22439 and for the downline train number 22440 has been scheduled. The centrally air-conditioned train will run on the automotive mechanism without any engine. The luxury chair car built under the ‘Make in India’ movement is decorated with wide windows allowing passengers breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. The train will have halts for 2 minutes at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, and Jammu Tawi. Vande Bharat Express: The conical-shaped front of this new train resembles a bullet train. The train includes a cattle guard to prevent any unexpected incident in case of cattle run.
The new train is equipped with spacious luggage shelves and an LED diffused lighting system enabling passengers to read books in personalized reading light. The European-style golden, violet and pink color seats make the journey in the Executive Chair car comfortable.
The seats of the executive chair car can be rotated 360 degrees that allow fun time playing games or chatting while traveling in a group.
In the case of the non-Executive chair car, the seats are arranged in 3+2 form. A foldable snack table is fixed to the center table that fills up the gap between the seat and the main table.
Fully sealed gangways of the train make for dust-free cool environment and enable the passengers with easy movement from one coach to another
The doors between two coaches are automatic and on each door there is an optical sensor to help the visually challenged passengers.

A special talk-back system in the train enable the passengers to communicate with the driver while the train is on run.
The train has an automatic system of opening and closing the door and the doors open only when the train is at the platform. The sliding footsteps help to reduce the gap between the train and the platform.
