To match the luxury of the royal era, the IRCTC has launched Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train that offers travelers all the royal comforts and facilities onboard. This luxury train by IRCTC offers two journeys, Majestic Rajasthan and Majestic Rajasthan with Taj Mahal. Your luxury vehicle will take you to some of the famous destinations while you will keep wondering, is this the way the monarchs travel!

About the Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train

Rajasthan is famous for its magnificent forts and palaces that spread in different places. The Rajput glory can be witnessed from every corner of the royal state. For a convenient journey to these famous sites, the IRCTC has launched the Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train. The train is a luxury one but it doesn’t come in the same class as the other luxury trains Palace on wheels or the Maharaja Express. Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train has been launched especially for the upper-middle-class travelers to provide them with a luxury journey to Rajasthan. The train will be launched in October 2019 and run on two different circuits in Rajasthan. The journey period for both Majestic Rajasthan and Majestic Rajasthan with Taj Mahal will be from the last week of September till the first week of April. The trains will depart from New Delhi on selected Mondays of the Month.

1st AC Cabins

The train is centrally air-conditioned and has 1st AC Cabins that could be booked exclusively offering full privacy to the guests. Cushioned berths & bedding are provided for the night journey. For each carriage, there are Two Dedicated attendants.

2nd AC Sleeper

The 2nd AC cabins are booked on a sharing basis and also provided with cushioned berths & bedding. Unlike the 1st AC, the 2nd AC lack privacy as each coach is shared by 6 people. Dedicated attendants are available as the 1st AC cabins.

Dining Car

The train has 2 dining cars where freshly cooked meals from onboard Kitchen are served. Dedicated attendants offer service in the dining car.

Each carriage has two Common Showers & two toilets that can be shared by 30 passengers.

Safety and security

There are adequate security guards on the train who ensure that regular train passengers won’t board this Tourist Train.  The train provides all the guests with travel insurance covering medical facilities and full security. Language guide and transportation by AC Deluxe Coaches is also available.

Personal safe and Wi-Fi

The passengers are allotted private safes where they can keep their precious belongings. The guest can also access the Wi-Fi facility available in Dining Cars.

The fort is nestled at the top of the Trikuta Hill that is situated 1.5 Km away from the Jaisalmer city center. Now a World Heritage Site, the fort was built by the Bhati Rajput ruler Maharawal Jaisal Singh in the year 1156 AD. The awe-inspiring fort has a number of palaces inside its complex. The palaces are decorated with enthralling carvings and sculptures that leave visitors spell-bound. The most beautiful palace is the Maharawal Palace famous for its marble throne.
