Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation’s premier luxury train, the Maharajas Express, is all set to run its first Indian Panorama journey of the 2012-13 season tomorrow. The train will depart from the Safdarjung Railway Station tomorrow at 2200 hours.

All guests have been requested to be present for the check-in formalities beginning at 2030 hours. Guests will be welcomed with an elaborate “Tikka” ceremony after which they will be escorted to registration. Once the check-in formalities are over, guests will be duly seen in their respective cabins.

The Maharajas Express train has always been known and appreciated for the luxury it affords to its guests. The train’s 43 cabins are equipped with the best of contemporary, 5-star amenities that enrich the overall travel experience.

The Indian Panorama itinerary is packed with action as the train lugs through 10 cultural destinations in the Delhi-Varanasi corridor within just 8 days.

The tariff for the trip starting from USD 5560 per person per journey can go as high as USD 22000 for the super grand Presidential Suite.

Most of the sightseeing is done during the daytime and it is during the night when the train covers most of the journey distance.
