The world’s luxury train, the seven-star Maharajas Express will be operational in Telangana in the following year. On Wednesday, the state tourism department and IRCTC officials discussed the proposal for operating the super luxury Maharajas’ Express traveling from Konkan to Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu via Telangana.

Maharaja Express will make halts at Secunderabad and Kazipet junctions in the youngest state of India.IRCTC chairman, AK Manocha and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) group general manager Smita Rawat held discussions with Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation chairman P Ramulu, tourism secretary B Venkatesham and Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation managing director Christina Z Chongthu on Wednesday.

The meeting had also finalized the decision to run three-star luxury trains from Secunderabad to Shirdi, Goa, and Tirupati with a basic tariff structure of bus fares.

IRCTC chairman Manocha also pursued cooperation from the Tourism and Culture Department for providing backend services such as local transportation (for local sightseeing), accommodation, catering, entry tickets with tour escort services for the groups that are booked by IRCTC for promoting tourism destinations like Basara, Warangal, Hyderabad, and Bhadrachalam.

Maharaja Express is an awarded seven-star luxury train experience. The beautiful interiors, lavish amenities, and hospitality are catered for 84 guests. The luxury train has 5 circuits, each highlighting the history, heritage, and culture of the Royalties of India.

The four-cabin arrangements of the train are Deluxe, Junior Suite, Suite, and President Suite. Each cabin comes equipped with RFID door locks, individual temperature control, fire alarm, attached washrooms with showers, an electronic safe, live television, a DVD player, Wi-Fi Internet, and a water filtration plant.

Round-the-clock valet service, a paramedic is available throughout the journey of the train. Two stylish dining cars offer a range of delicacies of India, Chinese, Continental cuisines, etc. A bar car, named Safari, and the lounge, known as the Rajah Club, are added amenities.
