If sources are to be believed, the Golden Chariot, a luxury train operating in the South Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, will soon revamp its itinerary to include destination in Andhra Pradesh. This move is meant to promote tourism in Andhra Pradesh as well as to make the train more marketable in India as well as foreign countries.

On a special request put forth by the Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) to increase the occupancy and profitability of this luxury train, the train might include Hyderabad in its itinerary. Hyderabad is home to some of the magnificent tourist attractions that were built during the rule of the Sultans, Mughals, and Nizams who shaped the history of this city.

In addition to participation in International and Domestic Trade Fairs to promote this luxury train, the tourism department will also be conducting a host of roadshows to spread awareness about the only luxury train operating in South India.

Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmadabad, Kolkata, and Delhi are the targeted locations of the upcoming road show to market the train and aware the public about this service and travel option.

Currently, the Golden Chariot offers 2 itineraries named Splendor of the South and Pride of the South. The train comes equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and can carry 88 passengers in its elegantly decorated interiors. More information is available on the Golden Chariot Page.
