The Golden Chariot is a luxury train in India that was originally designed to operate 3 tours across the different cities in Karnataka and Goa. However, recently it has modified the existing itineraries by clubbing the 3 to make 1 lovely package and named it aptly – Pride of the South tour.

This is an 8day/7 night tour itinerary that begins in the capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore and travels through Mysore, Hampi, Belur, Kabini, Badami and Goa before concluding in Bangalore on the 8th day of the journey. Do note that these are important historical destinations that depict the glory of medieval India, besides also being contemporary world locations set with the state of the art facilities and services for the global travelers. Some of the prominent tourist attractions of the Pride of the South itinerary are Shravanabelagola, Mysore Palace, the ruins of Hampi, and of course the pristine beaches of Goa.

Besides the aforesaid itinerary, the Golden Chariot has also introduced another trip across the south Indian destinations of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Named as the Splendor of the South, this itinerary is also an 8-day package that takes one round trip across Chennai, Mamallapuram, Pondicherry, Tiruchirapalli, Thanjavur, Madurai (all in Tamil Nadu) and Thiruvananthapuram, Poovar, Kochi and the Kerala Backwaters (all in Kerala).
