The oldest running locomotive on the planet, Steam Express is out of the loco shed. Above all trains in the world, Steam Express or the Fairy Queen definitely deserves to be at the top of the world’s greatest rail journeys and an experience of a lifetime for the connoisseurs of train traveling around the world.

This pre-Independence locomotive still runs on steam – take that for retro! The train is now a part of the Indian Luxury Trains lineup which already boasts of the Maharaja Express, Palace on Wheels, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels and the likes. The itinerary is a simple 2 day weekend affair featuring Delhi, Rewari and Alwar as destinations.

The highlights of the 2 days journey include a cultural show and safari in Sariska National Park, a renowned tiger reserve in the state of Rajasthan, India. The first journey begins on 22nd March, 2014. Visit the Indian Luxury Trains website for more info about departures, tariffs and itineraries of the Fairy Queen. See you aboard!
