With this 5 nights and 6 days tour, you explore beautiful destinations like Paro, Punakha and Thimpu. Some of the most popular tourist attractions of this tour include Tiger’s nest, Punakha Dzong and the Institute for Zorig Chusum. Marvel at the enchanting scenery.


Day 1 Arrival in Paro - Thimphu (45.2 km – 58 minutes)

Once you arrive at the Paro airport, meet our tour representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to Thimphu, by road. The capital city of the Kingdom of Bhutan, Thimpu is known for its rich history and culture. This beautiful city is a perfect blend of the old-world and contemporary sensibilities.As you reach Thimpu, complete the check-in formalities at your pre-booked hotel. After resting for a while, proceed for sightseeing.

The list of the tourist attractions of the day includes Trashi Chhoe Dzong or the Fortress of the Glorious Religion- the venue of the annual Tsechu festival and the National Library- holding a collection of valuable Buddhist manuscripts and the Painting School or Institute for Zorig Chusum- the place where 13 traditional art and craft are taught. Dinner followed by an overnight stay

Day 2 Thimphu

After breakfast on day 2, continue your city tour. The first attraction of the day is Buddha View Point, also known as Kuensel Phodrang, offering some amazing views of the valley. This site also houses the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan.

The other attractions of the day include Simtokha Dzong- a monastery built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1627, also housing the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies; The Textile Museum- observe the indigenous weaving techniques and different kinds of hand-woven textiles; Memorial Chorten or Thimpu Chorten and the Takin Mini Zoo that is home to Bhutan’s national animal Takin, a cross breed of a cow and a goat. After dinner, stay overnight.


Day 3 Thimphu - Punakha - Thimphu (77 km- 3 hrs)

On the 3rd day of the tour, post breakfast, leave for a day’s excursion to Punakha. The road route from Thimpu to Punakha is an extremely beautiful one. Treat your eyes to the local scenery. Halt at Dochula view point stop, just 45 minutes’ drive away. Placed at an altitude of 3100 meters, Dochula Pass offers an amazing view of the surrounding valley and the Himalayas. On reaching Punakha, visit the popular attractions.

The list of the day’s attractions include Chimi Lhakhang or Fertility Temple-built in 1499 on a hilltop and Punakha Dzong-a beautiful fortress on the meeting point of rivers Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu, now in a dilapidated state. If you wish, you can partake in river rafting (at your own expense). Back to the hotel in Thimpu by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Thimphu - Paro (48 km- 1.5 hours)

After breakfast, complete the check-in formalities and get on-road transfer to Paro. On arriving, check-in at your hotel. Leave your hotel room for indulging in sightseeing. You visit the National Museum of Paro, which is located in the premises of the renovated Ta-dzong.

This cultural museum houses a display of antique items from different parts of the country. Later, you partake in various outdoor activities (valid only for luxury and premium category guests) such as Khuru and Archery at the Bhutan National sport. You can also get yourself clicked by wearing traditional Bhutanese attire and later visit the market for shopping (at your own expense). After dinner, stay overnight in Paro.

Day 5 Paro

Post breakfast on day 5, you visit the extremely well-known Tiger’s nest temple, also called Taktsang Monastery, probably the most popular Bhutanese monasteries. A hike of around 2 hours or a horse ride, takes you to the height of 1200 meters where this monastery is placed.

It is an important Buddhist sacred site, visited by locals as well as tourists in large numbers. The evening is scheduled for visiting Kyichu Lhakhang, a popular Buddhist temple. It was erected way back in the 7th century by Songtsen Gampo, a Tibetan King. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 Departure

Today is the last day of the tour. Post breakfast, get an assisted transfer to the Paro Airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
