Royal Rajasthan On Wheels - Luxury Trains

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels began its first journey of the season with 26 passengers onboard, from Delhi.

This luxury train for tourists will run to major destinations of Rajasthan such as Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur and Jaipur. Thereafter, the journey will continue towards Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, and Varanasi and Agra in Uttar Pradesh, before returning to Delhi.

RROW is a milestone set by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (RTDC) in the domain of Luxury Rail Journeys in Indian Tourism Industry. Sources said, Royal Rajasthan on wheels has followed the Palace on Wheels and built the brand image in a record time in the Global Travel Market.

Mr. Parmod Sharma, General Manager of RTDC, New Delhi said, "The train is a milestone achieved by RTDC and has established its brand image in the global travel market in a record time."

The train itinerary is designed in such a way that the guests could take pleasure in watching varied sceneries mountains, sand dunes and rivers in North & Central India.

Mr. Sudhir Singh Chaudhri General Manager of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels (RROW) said, "The 22 luxury cabins are named after the royal palaces of Rajasthan such as Hawa Mahal, Kishore Mahal, Padmini Mahal, among others."

Mr. Chaudhri said that RROW has 22 state-of-the-art coaches consisting of 1 Super Deluxe Coach (2 Cabins), 13 Deluxe Coach (3 cabins each), 2 Restro Bars (40 covers each), 1 Kitchen, 2 Staff cum Store Car and 2 Power Cars. The train is capable to accommodate 82 pax. The tariff of RROW experience is about Deluxe USD 590 per person per night twin sharing basis, Super Deluxe Suite USD 1600 per night, and Deluxe USD 825 per person per night on single occupancy basis in the cabin.

"Categorized into deluxe and super deluxe saloons, the cabins are equipped with Wi-Fi internet, satellite television, channel music system and temperature controller," added Mr. Chaudhri.

The guests could also enjoy exotic facilities onboard such as Spa, Internet Facility, Gymnasium, and Satellite TV. The train is scheduled to start off every Sunday from Delhi between October and April, said Mr. Chaudhri.
