The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda Tour

Day 1 - Arrival - Sightseeing on the Lake Vembanad
1 pm marks the official time for all guests to finally amalgamate onboard the Motor Vessel Vrinda to set sail on a luxury trail. The delectable lunch served onboard the cruiser makes the journey all the more special, as the mesmerizing beauty of the waterway complements the entire ambience in the grandest way. After about a four-hour sail through the waterways, the boat parks itself at the Vembanad Lake Jetty for a classical evening and eventful night. Guests can take delight in enjoying magical sunset views, Kathakali performance by talented artists, and of course a grand dinner before they finally retire for the night.

Day 2 - Rice Boat Excursion
Early morning of the second day and it is time for guests to now move towards the heavenly destination of Alleppey. Breakfast is served onboard and the early morning sunlight and the bountiful nature of Kerala together make the experience truly memorable. If you have never seen the backwaters of Kerala, you just may skip a heartbeat. And if you have already been here, we bet, the experience could never have been this special... And if this was not enough, to surprise you all the more, the cruiser parks itself near Kanjippadam and all guests are ushered to rice boats to explore the narrower sections of the backwaters from close quarters. To taste a slice of the local ways of life, guests are then taken to a traditional Kerala home commonly known as 'Tharavad'. Besides this, a guided tour to the half-statue of Lord Buddha at Karmadi is also organized for the guests. Lunch is served onboard the Motor Vessel and the picture perfect locales of the backwaters and the local sights and sounds make the already delectable experience a fondly remembered one too.

Day 3 - Rice Boat Excursion
The third day of the tour takes guests on a pre-lunch excursion onboard the rice boats. Vrinda halts near Chambakulam and guests are then transported on to the smaller rice boats to visit the destinations, the first of them being St. Mary's Church, a shrine of great reverence. The Shree Bhagavathy Kshetram is another shrine that is held in very high esteem by the locals and tourists alike and is next in the line of destinations to be visited. Boat races are peculiar to Kerala and a trip to the state will be incomplete unless one can actually feast on the visuals of the eventful festival that is celebrated every year. However, if you were not here around the festival time, never mind. A trip to the Chambakulam Snake Boat Yard will attempt to at least make do for that experience. With traditional snake boats kept here on display, guests could actually see them and imagine the adrenaline rushes that keep the participants motivated. Post this visit; cool your senses by being a spectator to the enticing 'Mohiniattam' dance performance by the local artists. Dinner and stay is organized onboard the Motor Vessel.

Day 4 - Departure
Early morning on the last day of the tour, the Motor Vessel travels back all the way back to the Vembanad Lake Jetty. By 10 am guests reach here and are then escorted to Cochin onboard air-conditioned vehicles to embark on journey back home.
