
Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
The Sun Temple Tour set off with your arrival at New Delhi airport where our representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel where you’ll be staying overnight.
On arrival at hotel, you’ll be given a genial welcome and followed by check in, you’ll savor the sumptuous dinner.
Night stay at hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
On the Day 2, followed by a leisurely morning, you’ll be escorted to Delhi sightseeing trip. New Delhi is essentially the heart of India. Not only New Delhi is capital of India, it’s window to the diverse cultures, multitudes of creeds, faiths and lifestyles that India has.
Witness the sights and scents of this cultural capital, one of the oldest living cities of the world. Among the sites you’ll be visiting include Gandhi Memorial, Laxmi Narain Temple, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Qutb Minar and India Gate.
Retire to your hotel after a full day of sightseeing.
Day 3: Delhi - Bhubaneswar
Today, you’ll be driven to domestic airport to catch the flight to Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa state. On reaching Bhubaneswar, our representative will receive you and escort you to the hotel where rooms are held at ready occupancy basis. Check into the hotel and relax for a while.
Post lunch, set out for sightseeing of Bhubaneswar city. You’ll be escorted to visit Parasurameswara Temple, Orissa’s oldest temple built in 650 CE; Dhaulia Complex, a sprawling complex with many buildings including Emperor Asoka’s rock edict which dates back to the third century BC; Lingaraj Temple, a medieval temple built in eleventh century and one of the finest specimen of architecture practiced in that era.
Retire to your hotel after an eventful day.
Day 4: Bhubaneswar
The Day 4 of Sun Temple Touris slated for a full day excursion to Udayagiri, Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri.
These sites boast of Orissa’s foremost historical monuments, housing cave temples chiseled out of malleable rocks by Jain monks. The rock-cut ornate caves date back to 400 to 600 AD. Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri are Buddhist sites from where several temples and stupas have been excavated. Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsang who visited India in seventh century has mentioned two Buddhist learning centers in Orissa. Excellent carvings in stone and ornate images grace these sites.
Return to Bhubaneswar after a full-day trip. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Bhubaneswar - Puri
Today followed by breakfast, you’ll be driven to Puri. On reaching, check into a hotel.
In the afternoon, you can relax at beach. Rest of the day is at leisure, you can spend time in shopping or unwinding in your hotel room.
Night stay is scheduled at hotel.
Day 6: Puri
On Day 6, visit the celebrated Jagannath Tempe of Puri. The mighty temple is one of the four holy dhams in India.The temple structure was built by Gangaram ruler Anantavarman Chodaganga around twelfth century. Puri is also famous for famous rath yatra.
You’ll also get to visit the Loknath Temple in Puri
Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7: Puri - Konark - Bhubaneswar
Following breakfast, you’ll be driven to Bhubaneswar. En route, you’ll visit the Sun Temple at Konark. The Sun Temple id among the foremost temples in India, considered as the colossal chariot of Sun god. With 12 pairs of ornate carved wheels, the chariot is drawn by 7 horses emerging from the waves of Bay of Bengal. Although the temple is receded by the sea and it stand in ruins, it still is one of the magnificent work of art you’ll relish forever.
After visiting the Sun Temple, resume your journey to Bhubaneswar and retire to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8: Departure
Today, you’ll be escorted to the airport to board the flight for onward/return journey.
