Day 1 - 2: Tanjore

Day 3: Tanjore: Madurai
On the 3rd day, you will proceed towards the next destination, Madurai. A popular destination located in Tamil Nadu, Madurai is also known as the ‘temple city of India’ owing to the vast list of temples that are housed here. The foremost however is the Meenakshi temple that attracts tourists most of all. Locally known as the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, this temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and his heavenly consort Parvati. Each of the fourteen towers of the temple exhibit intricate carvings and elaborate embellishments. This temple is more than a place of worship and is almost a part of the everyday life of the people here. To take a better look into the way of life of the natives, visit Chettinad, located a few km from the Madurai city.

Day 4: Madurai – Kodaikanal
After you have completely traveled around Madurai and its neighboring areas, head towards the next destination – Kodaikanal. Day 5: Kodaikanal
Kodaikanal is best visited for its mesmerizing location including its hills, valleys and lakes that add constant beauty to the whole place. Spend the entire day exploring through the meandering roads of the place and soak yourself in the spirit of this sleepy hill station.

Day 6 -7: Kodaikanal – Munnar
On the 6th day of the Tanjore Mararikulam tour, you will bid adieu to Tamil Nadu and enter into Kerala, the next state in line. The first destination that you will head towards, in Kerala, is Munnar. A hill station with a difference, Munnar is synonymous to – the three rivers that meet near this place, the blue hills that majestically stand in its bosom, and tea plantations that resemble a green carpet flowing up till the foothills of the blue hills of the town.

On the 6th and the 7th day of your Tanjore Mararikulam tour, you will quintessentially travel around Munnar. Being the only hill station of Kerala, this place remains thronged by visitors, all throughout the year. The most noted places that you can explore while here include the Christ Church, the Eravikulam National Park, and of course the tea estates that dot the town.

Day 8 - 9: Munnar – Cochin
On the 8th day of the tour, after having traveled across Munnar, you will now head towards Cochin, another significant destination in Kerala. Cochin or Kochi as it is popularly known as, is a port city in Kerala and is most famous for its fort, its beaches, and the Dutch Palace. Other places worth visiting here include the Jewish Synagogue, the Spice plantations, St. Francis Church, and the Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary.

Cochin has forever been on the world map owing to its strategic location that facilitated trade in this region. No wonder, this has also earned the city its status as the ‘gateway to Kerala’! Day 10 - 12: Cochin – Mararikulam
From Cochin travel down to Mararikulam, the highlight of the Tanjore Mararikulam tour! Located around 30 - 40 km from Cochin, Mararikulam is one of the most beautiful beach villages in Kerala. Travelers come to Mararikulam, primarily to enjoy a luxury holiday.
