Package Itinerary

Day 1: Trivandrum
On the 1st day of the tour you will arrive in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. Also known as Thiruvananthapuram, Trivandrum is one of the largest cities in the state and very well accessible to most parts of the state. Overnight stay in Trivandrum will be pre-arranged for you so that you can immediately check in and rest your weary souls in the comforts of the hotel rooms.

Day 2: Thottapally
Early next morning, you will drive down to Thottapally located a few km from Trivandrum. This is a wonderful place to start off your backwaters tours. On reaching here, embark on the elegant houseboats that will sail you along the quaint and picturesque backwaters of Alleppey. The turquoise blue waters, the coconut trees lined in unison, and the sweet smell of the ambience… indeed no one can escape the magical spell of this place. Noteworthy places that you can visit while here include the St. Mary’s Church, the Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple, and the Karumadikuttan.

Day 3: Alleppey – Kumarakom
Post-breakfast you can resume your travel to the next destination, Kumarakom. The distance between the two places is about 38 km and therefore it will take you about an hour to reach there. Kumarakom is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala fondly frequented by tourists for its houseboats, its backwaters, and traditional Kerala houses that date back to several decades. However, the highlight of all tours to this place is concentrated around the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Home to a large variety of migratory bird species, this sanctuary can be reached on canoes. Indeed, the ethereal charm of the place is all the more enhanced by the canoe rides, houseboats and the chirping birds in the background.

Day 4: Kumarakom – Periyar
Post a trail of the Kumarakom region, it is now time to head towards another lush green destination, the Periyar. Located along the backwaters, Periyar tops the list when it comes to the choice of destinations that guests prefer to visit in Kerala. Periyar is known for its wildlife sanctuary and the tiger reserve that is one of its kinds in the country. Besides the tigers, Periyar also houses fishes, amphibians, and reptiles belonging to several varieties. Spend the entire day exploring the green environs of the Periyar, before you embark on tours to the next destination. Overnight stay arranged for you in the hotel in Periyar.

Day 5: Munnar
Post-breakfast drive down to Kerala’s only hill station, Munnar. Spice plantations, tea, and coffee estates dot this quaint hill station enabling guests visiting this place to feast on the gorgeous views of the place. Throughout the day you can travel around the tea and spice plantations housed here, besides paying a visit to the Eravikulam National Park. This national park is home to the rare species of nilgiri tahr besides also the small clawed otter and the rudy mongoose.

Day 6: Cochin
Next on the Kerala Ayurveda tours is Cochin, an ancient sleepy village that later went on to become of the most important trade centers in the region. Sightseeing tours to the Fort, the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, and the spice plantations will keep you busy during the day. For the evenings, we have a musical presentation waiting to entertain you. Be a spectator to the splendid 'Kathakali' dance performance performed by local artists. One of the most expressive dance forms of India, this experience will completely enrich your treasure trove of knowledge.

Day 7 - 14: Kovalam Beach
On the 7th day of the Kerala Ayurveda tours, head straight to the Kovalam beach, one of the prime beaches housed in the state. This tropical Indian beach is mostly visited for its blue waters, serene ambience, white sands, and most importantly numerous Ayurveda facilities. Whether you want to opt for beauty treatments, rejuvenating massages or treatments for a particular ailment, the choice and preference is ultimately yours.

For the next 6 days you can spend your time in leisure and availing of the facilities that are housed in the Ayurvedic treatment center in Kovalam. The entire experience here will surely rejuvenate your senses enough to gear you up for the mundane city life, back home. Day 15: Trivandrum
On the last day that is the 15th day, drive down back to Trivandrum for your journey back home. The Kerala Ayurveda tours are customized for guests as per their convenience, in a 7, 14 or 21 day schedule.
