Day 1: Cochin
Arrive in Cochin at airport/railway station to embark on a mystical Kerala backwaters vacation . Our representative will meet you and help you transfer to the hotel. Relax and unwind in your hotel room and enjoy a sumptuous lunch.
Later set out on a sightseeing tour of the city. Cochin is a colonial era town and the first site of western settlement. Many buildings 18th century buildings are reminiscent of the colonial period. You'll get to see Cochin Harbor, Fort Cochin, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and St Francis Church. Retire back to your hotel after a long weary day of sightseeing.
Day 2: Cochin - Kumarakom
On the second day of Backwater Holidays, you'll be heading for Kumarakom. Savor the scrumptious breakfast followed by a 3-hour drive. On arriving at Kumarakom, you'll be escorted to your hotel. Check in and spend rest of the day at leisure. Pamper your senses with a relaxing Ayurvedic massage at the resort.
Day 3: Kumarakom
On the third day, you'll be taken to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary to catch glimpse of the exotic birdlife. Later return to hotel for a sumptuous breakfast. En route you can pay visit to Kumarakom farm houses. The rest of the day is all yours. Hit the streets of a Kumarakom, go hiking or simply relax in the comfort of your hotel room. The choice is yours. Overnight stay is scheduled at Kumarakom.
Day 4: Alleppey
Next day, wake up to a refreshing morning. You'll hit the road to Alleppey. Alleppey is fondly called 'Venice of the East' thanks to its veritable network of streams and backwaters. On arriving in Alleppey, check into your Kettuvallam - the houseboat. Sailing afloat the palm-fringed backwaters is a paradisiacal experience. The sight of sleepy hamlets, lush paddy fields, tranquil palm jungles and verdant landscape is an experience you'll cherish for a lifetime. Savor the lip-smacking zesty delicacies and spend the night in Kettuvallam.
Day 5: Cochin
On day 5, you'll be driven back to Cochin and transferred to airport or railway station for your onward/return journey.
