The luxury train Palace on Wheels is ready to welcome guests to embark on a spectacular sojourn across Rajasthan. The new season for the train that begins on 4th August 2010, Wednesday promises guests even more fun and excitement. A new feature in terms of a Spa coach has been added to the train to enable guests to also take delight in some rejuvenating moments while travelling across the heritage sites of Rajasthan. The train has been completely refurbished with charming interior decor and enhanced facilities to suit the tastes of the varying travelers traveling with it. Palace on Wheels has been successfully operating since 1982 and has recently been ranked at the 4th position among the top 10 luxury trains in the world. The week-long journey of the train will begin from the Safdarjung Railway Station on the 4th August at 1830 hours.

Palace on Wheels will complete 30 years of its inception on January 26, 2012. The first luxury train of India Palace on Wheels operated by RTDC and IR to promote tourism in Rajasthan was launched on 26th of January 1982.
